Customizing your Tabs in Salesforce to Display the Reports Tab

When you log into Salesforce, you should see a tab called “Reports.”

The precise location of this tab might be different from the image we see here, depending on your specific configuration.

What should you do if you can’t see the Reports tab at all, or it’s too far to the left or too far to the right, and you would like to adjust it? Don’t worry – that’s precisely what we’re going to show you next.
Customizing your tabs in Salesforce to display the Reports Tab

If you do not see the Reports tab by default – or you would like to adjust the location of the Reports tab – simply follow these steps:

To the right of the tabs, near the top of the screen, you will see a small plus sign (+). Click on that plus sign in order to see all of the tabs available to you in Salesforce.

Your screen should refresh to appear like this one:

On your new screen, you will see an orange button in the upper right-hand portion of the screen. It says “Customize My Tabs.” Simply press on that button and your page will update again to show you a screen where you can configure which tabs appear on your screen – and in which order.

On the left hand side, you will see a column showing all of the tabs that are currently available to you – but not part of your current display.

The column on the right shows all of the tabs that are currently appearing on the top of the screen. Notice that they are listed in the same order in which they appear along the top.

Find and select the entry for REPORTS on the left hand side (under “Available Tabs”).

Click on the arrow in the center to ADD it, moving it over to the right hand column.

Then use the “Up” and “Down” arrows on the right, you can specify precisely where that Reports tab should appear.

Once you are done, simply hit the SAVE button on the bottom of the screen.

Your screen will refresh immediately in order to show the Reports tab, precisely where you specified on the prior screen.
