Are You Leaving Your Salesforce Org Exposed? Use This Tool To Find Out!

Most Salesforce admins assume that security is a non-issue since Salesforce does a spectacular job at monitoring and tracking security related issues on the back end.

While this is true, there are many options available for each org, allowing each admin to either relax or restrict access to each Salesforce instance.

Are you leaving your Salesforce org exposed to potential threats?

Here are some items to consider:

  • Have you configured the maximum invalid login attempts?
  • Have you enabled SMS identify confirmation?
  • Have you defined the password complexity requirement?
  • Is your org configured to force logout after a set time period?
  • Are you limiting the IP addresses for logins?
  • Do you allow users to re-use old passwords?
  • Did you set a minimum password length?
Salesforce recently rolled out a Security Health Check function - allowing admins to quickly review, monitor and adjust all of these settings.

Admins can find this feature under Setup > Administer > Security Controls > Health Check.
