Learn How to Display All Related Activities to a Parent Record in Salesforce Lightning Experience

At first it might seem a bit odd.

When looking at a case or opportunity record, why on earth would I want to display activities that don't relate to that record?

Well...suppose you are the sale rep working on an opportunity, or the customer support rep working on a case...while looking at the record, you place a call to the customer following up on that issue.

Suddenly the customer hijacks the conversation by bringing up the fact that someone else on your team was expected to follow up with them 4 days ago about a pressing issue. The customer is now asking you for details about that open task, and refuses to discuss the issue that prompted your call.

Wouldn't you like to avoid that? Maybe, at the very least, get a heads up about the open tasks and perhaps even see the recently closed activities associated with that person?

Now you can do it, in Lightning Experience...and it doesn't involve any third party apps or writing any code.

Watch the video below and start thinking creatively how your team can benefit from this feature.

Happy Learning!
