Winter '18 Release - Favorite Features by Salesforce MVP Phil Weinmeister

I recently asked several Salesforce MVPs to identify their favorite Winter '18 enhancements.

Here's what impressed Phil Weinmeister:

1. Dynamic Branding - to personalize the login experience

The demand for personalization has never been higher and Salesforce has made significant strides in Winter ’18 to allow for the ability to present unique experiences to different audiences…declaratively. 

The login experience is one of the areas that gets some love in W18 and I think many organizations will adopt this feature soon after its availability. 

You can change the logo and presented image on your login page and identify your users in a way that makes them feel known. 

Easy change, low risk…easy win!

2. Community Audience Targeting - with user criteria

This one is huge. 

Not everyone out there uses or knows Communities well, but this really changes the game. 

Before Winter ’18, administrators could create an audience based on location, profile, or domain; that was fairly powerful. 

With user criteria, the possibilities are essentially limitless, as you can create a custom field and segment users any way you like. 

By combining this solution with page variations, you can create highly personalized experiences at a granular level for your communities users.
